In 2007 Norman and Val vistited Australia to see his two brothers Reg and Des and his sister Kath. He enjoyed the reunion, and seeing the place they talked about so often. He had always wondered whether he had done the right thing by staying in the UK when half of his family emigrated. At least when he came back he realised how much he had missed home, and that he had made the right decision for him and his family. During his visit he was able to spend some time with his brother Reg who was in the final stages of cancer himself, and died shortly afterwards. Norman and Val visited Melbourn, Adelaid and Lakes Entrance and had a lot of lovely memories and photographs to bring back and tell the family.
